For the past month, we have been able to change the way we print at Flexible Pack by introducing the Impala 4. It is a cutting-edge press designed to produce high-quality graphics of all sizes, on every type of material, in large or small quantities, and in a quick-turn delivery fashion.

Flexible Pack is always ready to help with all your printing needs! Get in touch with one of our sales representatives so we can get started on your project!

Specialties

Our new machine differentiates itself, first and foremost, by its capability to work on oversized jobs. The maximum size it can print is 98.4” x 79.9” for rigid material and 98.4” x endless length for roll format materials, compared to the previously available maximum size of 96” x 49”. Regarding the rigid format, that is a 67% increase in possible sizes for products!

Furthermore, with a product height maximum of approximately 2”, the machine can print on thicker materials than usual, giving you more possibilities for your orders.

Features & Improvements

The Impala 4 offers a variety of new features and improvements that affect the colors and quality of printed products.

High-Quality Colors

Nine color channels are available so that the standard CMYK takes up the first eight, leaving the ninth free for white color or varnish. Additionally, two new color types are available - neon colors and light colors. Currently, we have light cyan and light magenta on site, but light black, neon yellow, and neon pink are also options that can be added. This allows greater variety, as well as higher quality when creating your orders. Add the fact that the same varnish can achieve a gloss, semi-gloss, and matte effects, and you will realize how many more possibilities you will have for your designs!

Roll-to-Roll Feature

A further new option we have is called the roll-to-roll feature. This option converts the flatbed printer into a roll-to-roll printer. Whether films, tarpaulin, mesh, or other roll stock up to 396 lb, the flatbed printer can handle them all – even the heat-sensitive ones thanks to LED curing.

Speed

The Impala 4 prints up to nearly five feet per second, which is significantly faster than what was previously possible.

This increase in printing speed significantly shortens the turnaround time, meaning we can deliver your products even faster than before!

Applications

The Impala 4 has the ability to print on a large variety of materials, including:

  • Glass (New!)
  • Vinyl
  • Canvas
  • Cardboard
  • Acrylic
  • Glass Aluminum composite panels
  • Wood
  • Tarpaulins
  • Polyester
  • Polycarbonate
  • Polystyrene
  • PVC (rigid foam)
  • Flexible foam panels
  • Corrugated coroplast

This list of materials makes it possible to print even more types of products. These include billboards, dashboards, posterboards, sales signs, open house signs, lawn signs, larger apply-a-print decals, control panels, and more.

Banners

One exciting new addition is the possibility of printing banners. Whether for special events, promotions, or other occasions, banners are offered through the roll-to-roll option, where instead of having to print in sections, we can now produce printed media that is solely dependent on the material’s roll size.

Thanks to the Impala 4’s addition to our production line, we can offer even more options and capabilities when manufacturing products at Flexible Pack. Our team looks forward to making the most of these new possibilities. Get in touch with one of our sales representatives so we can get started on your project!
